You gotta be careful of the people around you, either your friends or people you hang out with. Growing up, my mother used to say, “you can choose your friends, but not your family” so I was exposed to those words, althought I didn’t understand them back, but today it all kicks back!
Your life depends in your circle, people you surround yourself with! If you spend time with negative people, you will also be a negative person. Sometimes it feels bad to escape the box or to clear the circle, because we have feelings, we feel sorry for other people more than ourselves, and we commit to people more than we commit on ourselves. The person that you are is the result of your cicle, change your circle to change your life. In this Universe Like-attracts-like, you will meet people with the same thinking when the time is right!
There are Leaders and there are those who lead. Leaders hold a position of power or influence. And those who lead inspire us.
Written by Simon Sinek, the master of marketing. This is one of the best business book I have ever read, it has drawn me a picture of how it looks like in the world of business. Why other people and businesses succeed, and Why others don’t. This book have made me start everything with WHY, not only in the business world – but In Life itself. It has made me feel ready to be the leader that I was born to be, despite of my age – but inside I feel the power. I now ask my self “Why” before I act, before I buy a product, I fall in love and before I study. I haven’t finish this book yet, but trust me when I say I have learnt a lot form it.
“People don’t buy what you do, but why you do it” This is my everyday quote, now that I know most companies and people fail because they lack WHY, they don’t ask the right questions, they focus more on HOW and WHAT!
My combined quote: The foolish asks questions and do nothing about them. The simple asks questions and look for solutions. But the wise asks questions, look for solutions, and then inspire.
Today I woke up at 06:00 am, a thought woke me up.
I asked myself, “why I was created in the first place, why do I exist, what is my duty or task, and lastly, why am I still alive??.” I forgot about the external power that I am still chasing, and the career that I am trying to build. I realized that being alive is the only thing that matters, the greatest gift that we are not grateful for. I then had to thank the CREATOR for everything that He has done for me, for life, for existence, for keeping my parents, for positive and loving personality, for nature, and for everything He has done for me in advance.
If we could stop just for a minute, and be grateful for everything that we now have, the little things that we have. This is called GRATITUDE. We are always grateful for material things, and forget that who is in control. Some times you just have to wait and look back, where you come from and where you are. These thoughts were my wake up call, I hope and believe that something huge is about to happen, whatever it is “I attract”
LIFE IS LIKE A HEIST. WE FALL IN LOVE, GET HEART BROKEN, AND DO MISTAKES WHILE WE’RE IN THE PROCESS THEN STRUGGLE TO ESCAPE. THE HEIST IS OUR LIFE, WHAT WE ARE CHASING, AND IF YOU FALL IN LOVE WHILE ON A MISSION YOU MESS UP THE ENTIRE PLAN.
This is my first book to purchase, written by the late Napoleon Hill, published in 1937. This is the first book that introduced me to the Secret of the New Thought, with powerful teachings and wise words. I read this book during my first year at tertiary, and it have changed me – the way I used to think and the person I used to be. It has taught me how true leader should act, think and look like – every time I encounter negativity, I always think of this book. I have used some of the writings to write stories that motivate people and teach them about the Secret. It has made me look like a genius. Every time when I tell my friends and my schools mates what I have read they regard me as a mastermind, his lessons have made me change the way my friends used to think, I introduced them to the terminology and the philosophy of Napoleon Hill.
Since my dream is to open a huge company, his writings have taught me of the mastermind group. That the only way to succeed is to first start make sure that your group and people around you chase the same vision, and that they are eager to succeed. Again the book taught me about persistence, to continue chasing your dream no matter the costs. Although it does look tiring sometimes, but if you are sure about your dream and you believe in it, you got to be persistence.
Another thing is the Specialized Knowledge. At school we taught the general knowledge, about the victory of better man. While in the process of feeding our minds about this, we often get confused about what we want to do and achieve. I am still the victim of that, but unlike many other Youth, I’m glad that I am now aware that the important way to survive is to have a specialized knowledge, knowledge that will work with your dream and wishes. In the book, he told the story of the late Henry Ford. I am now stressed about my future, about the knowledge we are taught at school. I won’t fight the system, but I will use my mind and the knowledge I now know to do what I think its right.
I am now imagining the kind of life I want to live, and of the fortunes I want to obtain. It’s all in my mind, and the only thing left is for the universe to manifest what belongs to me. “We are all meant to be rich, change your thoughts to change your life. In the face of the universe and the creator there is no one rich and nor poor, just plant the seed in your mind and you will never go wrong in life” -LLUKBRIGHT.
“What you think, you become” If you think of success, you will be successful – and if you think Rich, you will Grow Rich. That’s my daily reminder.
“Time is very slow for those who want, very fast for those who are scared, very long for those who are sad, and very short for those who celebrate, but for those who love time is ETERNAL.”
Normalize spending time with people who are older than you, listen closely to their regrets and where they have went wrong in life. They will teach you about the importance of life, and how to overcome some barriers that we face along the way. In my culture they often say, “Inyathi ibuzwakwabaPhambili”. Let’s respect the elders.
This pandemic have shown true colors of politicians. Our so-called leaders spend money on themselves more than the poor citizens. They have made it clear that they choose to have external power “drive all the cars, build their bank balances and their houses” than to help the voters and the citizens that mostly suffer. Here in Africa, our leaders always complain about Anti-Black people – and not about ANTI-AFRICAN SYSTEM. I just wish this world can be ruled by leaders who care about the lives of humans, that will put human lives first. Leaders that will choose Life more than External power.
